Oxford Brookes' 5,000th graduate

BSc degree scheme reaches milestone

16 Mar 2007

Since October 2000, ACCA and Oxford Brookes University have offered ACCA students the opportunity to obtain a BSc (Hons) degree in applied accounting.
This unique opportunity - exclusively available to ACCA students, affiliates, and members - saw the number of students who achieved the BSc degree rise to over 5,000 from the October 2006 project submission session.

Ong Chee Ming, a full-time student from Malaysia studying at Sunway University College was the 5,000th graduate.

Ong Chee Ming began his studies with ACCA as a CAT student before transferring to the ACCA Professional qualification. He achieved consistently high marks in all of the Part 2 ACCA papers leading to his first class degree classification, awarded by Oxford Brookes University in January 2007.

You can find out more about Ong Chee Ming in the May 2007 issue of student accountant.
