Campaigning for accountancy

A new, global advertising campaign is launched today by ACCA

17 Oct 2007

The campaign promotes the key message that ACCA produces accountants fit for the challenges business faces in the 21st century, which is reflected in the strap line: 'The world needs three-dimensional accountants.’

The adverts will first appear in Hong Kong, Singapore and the UK this month, to be followed by a number of ACCA’s major markets in the next six to eight months. The adverts will be placed in the quality print media, including newspapers and magazines, on public transport including underground tube trains and in international airports.

Neil Stevenson, marketing director at ACCA, explains: ‘The campaign raises awareness of the progressive and unique elements of ACCA as a global brand. The resulting adverts are distinctive and build on our reputation as the largest and fastest-growing global professional accountancy body. Our approach is to promote to business the unique benefits ACCA professionals bring to their work wherever they are based in the world, based on their professional training to consistent global standards.’

Hooper Galton, the consumer advertising specialists, won the brief to design the campaign for ACCA. Neil Stevenson adds: ‘We were keen to move away from a traditional B2B advertising approach in order to achieve greater stand-out in the marketplace, using ads that had a more emotive feel to them and ultimately really engaged decision makers in our core markets. Hooper Galton has achieved this for us; they have designed a set of adverts that fit seamlessly with our new brand image which was launched officially in late September.’

The ads can be seen by clicking on the link under ‘see also’.
