Global Reporting Initiative Readers' Choice Award

Shortlist to be announced 31 December

13 Dec 2007

Nearly 800 sustainability reports are currently in the running for the inaugural GRI Readers' Choice Awards. On 31 December 2007 the field of eligible reports will be reduced to a shortlist based on reports that have:

  • the highest volume of scores received
  • the widest diversity of scorers (employees, media, civil society, investors, management and governance, etc)

If you are a reader of sustainability reports, ensure the reports that are of interest to you make the shortlist by scoring them before 31 December 2007 . Reach out to others in your community and encourage them to login at Readers' Choice Awards Readers' Choice Awards - opens in a new window to score the reports of interest to you. Don't miss this chance to send a message to the organisations you have a stake in and let them know what is good and not-so-good about their sustainability reports.

Alternatively, does your organisation have a sustainability report in the running for the GRI Readers' Choice Awards? Ensure it makes the shortlist by reaching out to your stakeholders today and encourage them to logon to the awards website to score your report. Whether they score you high or low you will learn new insights into what they think makes your report useful. The more scores you get, and the greater the diversity of scorer groups, the higher your chances are of making the shortlist on 31 December.

What happens after 31 December?

Scoring will remain open for shortlisted reports only for a further month. Scoring will close on 31 January 2008 and the winners will be announced at the Global Conference on Sustainability and Transparency in Amsterdam on 7-9 May 2008. We hope you will be able to attend.
