ACCA Job Hunting Competition
Record number of applicants for 2009
20 Apr 2009
A record number of more than 5,462 university students have applied to take part in the Hong Kong leg of this year's ACCA China Job Hunting Competition, which sees local university students compete for more than 140 internship opportunities in China.
The competition is designed to simulate a real-life executive recruitment process in the business environment, allowing students to experience and enhance their job hunting, communications and interpersonal skills in a series of regional heats, held in Hong Kong SAR, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu.
Three top-scoring students from each heat are then selected to compete for the championship in the grand final in Shanghai, giving the highest achieving participants the chance to win internships with prominent employers, including the Big Four accountancy firms.
