SII and ACCA sign global partnership agreement

The Securities & Investment Institute (SII) and ACCA have signed a global partnership agreement. Under the agreement, the two organisations will co-operate, collaborate and share resources around the world to support the work of nearly 130,000 finance professionals.

It has been agreed that ACCA will offer SII exams and qualifications to members around the world and SII will offer advantageous terms for ACCA members and affiliates to also become SII members. Both organisations intend to work together to deliver improved services and resources to members, including CPD events.

ACCA Chief Executive Allen Blewitt, said: ‘We are very excited about the prospect of our two bodies working together. We have the highest regard for the work and achievements of SII and we share much in common, including a commitment to promoting the highest ethical standards in the financial profession and to working in the public interest at all times. At a time when there is greater demand for transparency from investors and stakeholders, there is much we can achieve for the benefit of our members and for the public in whose interest they work.’

Simon Culhane, Chief Executive Officer of the SII, said: ‘We are delighted to be working with ACCA who share our commitment to professional standards and career progression for industry staff.’
