Your new website

The students' channel explained

15 Jan 2007

The students and affiliates section of accaglobal.com contains everything that the previous students' section contained - and more. This introductory guide to the new site outlines the main sections and what's contained in them:

STUDY & EXAMS

This section contains everything you will need to help you with your study and exams.

Our qualifications in depth

This subsection contains all of the exam information you need for each of the specific exam papers you are studying for. This is where you will find syllabuses, study guides, past exam papers, examiners' approach and feedback, and technical articles from student accountant and finance matters. You will also find a section on the ACCA/Oxford Brookes degree partnership.

How and where to study

This subsection includes the database of UCRS registered tuition providers, as well as details of our approved textbook publishers and details of Computer Based Examinations.

Student support

This subsection contains all of the administrative support resources you need, including exemption information, exam timetables, centre details, pass rates, exam entry information, fees, important dates and other administrative resources. There is also a section supporting those students who are opted in for the ACCA/Oxford Brookes degree partnership.

TRAINING & CAREERS

If you are studying for the ACCA Qualification or Certified Accounting Technician qualification, a core element of your qualification is the practical experience requirement.

ACCA Qualification Practical Experience Requirement (PER)

This section contains all of the information and support you will need to help you fulfil your training requirement. It has full details of all of the Performance Objectives and details how they relate to the exams. There is also detailed information on how to convert to the new PER if you are still completing your STR.

CAT Scheme Practical Experience Requirement

This section contains the TTR and all the information you will need to fulfil your practical experience requirement for the Certified Accounting Technician qualification.

Career support

The student careers support section contains a wealth of resources both to help you fulfil your practical experience requirement and also to help you plan for your future career. This subsection contains a database of training vacancies as well as salary surveys, job boards, recruitment consultant listings and career management resources.

PUBLICATIONS

This section contains online editions of your student magazines student accountant and finance matters. Both contain the latest articles from the magazines, as well as fully searchable archives of past feature and technical articles.

EXAM RESULTS

This section contains all of the vital information you need about your exam results. You can find out the ways in which you can receive your results and you can opt in to receive them by email. Once the results have been published, you can view your results and eligibility for the next exam session online, or you can search the databases of passed finalists.

PASSED YOUR EXAMS?

This section is for ACCA affiliates, CAT graduates and Diploma passees. It tells you what you need to do next in order to obtain full membership of your qualification. If you are studying for the ACCA Qualification, there are a range of support resources for you, as well as details of how to complete your practical experience requirement. We also guide you through what you can and can't do professionally as an ACCA affiliate, and explain the benefits of completing your practical experience so that you can progress to full membership and develop your career.
