Student Engage

ACCA answers your questions

15 Oct 2009

In September 2009, ACCA staged another successful Student Engage webcast.

Tony Osude, ACCA's acting director of professional development, and Keith Dugdale, director of global recruitment at professional services firm KPMG, took questions from students on how optimising employability opens doors to more and better career opportunities.

Questions were read out live from students across the world, including Afghanistan, Bahrain, Botswana, Canada, Ghana, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Trinidad and Tobago, the UK and Zambia.

The issues that students sought advice on ranged from the skills expected of professional accountants to how to gain practical experience and the value of seeking interview feedback. Video questions were also put directly to Osude and Dugdale by Robert Malasha in Zambia and Louise Whelan in Ireland.
