The global body for professional accountants

The Asia Pacific Interest Group, which looks at accounting topics and trends affecting the Asia Pacific region, has been running successfully since 2011. With the growing role of the Asia-Pacific region in the global economy, the need to make sure local accountants are trained across these trends and considerations that may affect local businesses is more important than ever.

Benefit from the opportunity to engage with other finance professionals around the issues facing the Asia Pacific region. The group also provides the opportunity for participants to engage with other like-minded Accountants in a smaller, more dynamic setting.

Who should attend

ACCA members and affiliates, or colleagues who have a professional role that reaches across the Asia Pacific region or those that just have a genuine interest in the specific dynamics of Asia Pacific.

To increase our focus and enable more insightful dialogue, each session is presented by a specialist in an aspect pertaining to the Asia Pacific region, who will give a short presentation to set the scene followed by facilitated discussion.

We hold regular sessions exploring a diverse range of topics, from culture and location (China, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Africa) to global economy (EU Financial Crisis), and from regional development (the Asian Century) to domestic policies (Carbon Tax, Workforce Competitiveness).

Events are free of charge and you will be awarded one CPD point for each session.
