The global body for professional accountants

The ACCA Women in Business interest group was formed to promote the sharing of information, experiences and knowledge by ACCA’s female members, affiliates and students who are based in Auckland. This group allows professional women to come together to share experiences and navigate some of the challenges that women face as professionals in Accounting or as migrants into NZ or returning expats

Benefit from the opportunity to engage with other female professionals to share career and migration experiences.  The group also provides the opportunity for participants to engage with other like-minded women in a friendly and stimulating setting.

Who should attend

All women ACCA members, affiliates and students are welcome along with any women friends or associates ACCA members feel may find the group of value to engage with.

Regularly meeting at an Auckland CBD café and restaurant/bar with the option of more formal ‘professional speaker’ events; venue availability permitting

For each gathering, a ‘discussion topic’ will be communicated to participating women as a general focus and or starting point for the evening. Topics will be driven by what the members wish to discuss and may vary from diversity, women on boards, career moves into a new sector, managing teams, ethics and governance to integration into the NZ work life culture for newly migrated members.

Events are free and carry no CPD points, unless a guest speaker is invited and a venue is required to host a more formal event.
