ACCA - The global body for professional accountants

Becoming an ACCA-qualified accountant does not just involve passing your exams and completing an ethics module, you also need to complete practical experience. It helps you to demonstrate to potential employers that you can apply your knowledge in the workplace and have practical skills.

You can gain your practical experience before, during or after you complete your exams, but gaining it at the same time is advantageous to you as it reinforces what you learn for the exams.

The Certified Accounting Technician qualification (one of the Foundation-level qualifications) also requires students to complete practical experience.
