It is a tremendous honour for me to be ACCA's President at a time when we celebrate two decades of the modern accountancy profession in China.

Twenty years ago, ACCA first came to China with a firm belief that it could make a valuable and lasting contribution to the accountancy profession. Here, in 2008, with established Chinese ACCA members holding senior positions and many younger members identified as the finance leaders of tomorrow, we take great pride in the contribution ACCA accountants make to business life in China.

We honour and commend the Ministry of Finance, the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants and many professional partners in China on their leadership and look forward to many more years of supporting the development of the Chinese accountancy profession.
