HAT was established in 1975 by six firms to reap economics of scale in technical, training and recruitment services. The group now provides services to more than 150 firms.

HAT's Audit and Accountancy (ISA) Manual is updated regularly, and provides all the tools to enable you to complete an ISA assignment on a company, plus non-audit assignments to Quality Checked standards. Specialist manuals are available covering groups, LLPs, charities, pensions, and client money assignments.

HAT can help ensure your compliance with ISQC 1 and ISA 200, by undertaking quality control reviews on corporate and specialist audit files which cover all areas of the assignment. Additionally, practice management and compliance manuals are provided, covering areas such as audit procedures, anti-money laundering and Quality Checked.

HAT keeps you up to date by providing quarterly update meetings, which cover current issues including new and revised accounting and auditing standards, changes to legislation, information regarding specialist areas, and updates to HAT manuals. These shoud be used in conjunction with the HAT CPD programme which includes courses covering audit and accountancy, taxation, specialist areas and skills.

HAT also provides a bi-monthly newsletter, which is issued to all HAT firms, covering current technical issues, group news, social events, exam results and has a prize quiz! In addition to these, HAT publishes Specialist Charity and Pensions Newsletters at appropriate intervals.
