ACCA Singapore Local Executive Committee elects new branch President
Ms Yim Kam May, Director of Mexim Singapore, has been elected ACCA Singapore’s new branch President. Her appointment was confirmed by the Local Executive Committee (LEC), after ACCA’s 63rd Annual General Meeting held on Saturday, 27 May 2006.
Serving office together with Ms Yim include:
- Mr Ho Yew Mun, Director of Ho Yew Mun Pte Ltd, as Vice President and current International Assembly member
- Ms Belinda Young, Director of Centrecourt, as Honorary Secretary
- Mr Aw Eng Hai, Director, Recovery & Reorganisation, Foo Kon Tan Grant Thornton as Honorary Treasurer
Mr Kaka Singh will now serve as Immediate Past President.
The LEC also welcomed four new members to the committee. Congratulations go to Ms Sally Cheng, Group Finance Manager, International Logistics Company; Ms Mary Tan Lay Muay, a Chartered Financial Consultant with a leading life assurance company; Mr William Tan Wai Leong, General Manager of a chemical logistics company and Mr Yen Heng Fook, a Partner at Ernst & Young.
Mr Ng Song Piak who has been an LEC member since 1992 did not stand for re-election. Mr Barry Wee and Mr Paul Tan resigned from office due to work commitments.
The LEC is complete with 14 committee members. Eight members are currently serving their two year term; two are returning members with four new members.
