By combining its pan-European experience with local knowledge and service, Genworth Financial offers its clients a unique partnership approach. •Preparation of account reconciliations in functional and US reporting currencies on a monthly/quarterly basis as per Genworth account reconciliation policy and deadlines. •Discuss reconciliation issues with the Senior accountant of each southern country and drive resolution of any outstanding account reconciliation issues. •Make sure all reconciliations are uploaded timely to Genworth's Account Reconciliation system (Phoenix) •Reconciliation of operating systems data to general ledger data. •Reconciliation of US GAAP and UKGAAP balances. •Post any required journal entries directly into general ledger This list is not exhaustive, additional reasonable duties may be required from time to time. | |

| Basic Qualifications Required •Excellent planning and analytical skills •Highly self-motivated and organised with attention to detail •Strong interpersonal and communication skills •Ability to work independently to meet aggressive targets •Team Player •Strong communication skills •Educated to degree level with full qualification in Accounting •Minimum 2/3 years accounting (desirable to have experience in insurance industry) •Knowledge of accounting fundamentals •Proficient with financial spreadsheet packages (strong Excel skills) •Fluent in English •Valid European visa or working permit Preferred Qualifications •Ability to travel if needed •Italian or Portugese desirable but not essential | |
