It is now two years since the 'credit crunch' first made the world's headlines. What began with the collapse of one relatively obscure sector of the US housing market has unfolded into the most significant global economic downturn since World War II. While the global economy now seems to have turned a corner, commentators continue to debate the viability of 'green shoots', and we can only be assured of further uncertainty throughout 2009-10.
