Certified Accounting Technician

The Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) is an excellent route towards qualification for your accounting support staff, whether you wish to develop new recruits from school leaver stage or encourage experienced employees to obtain formal recognition of their ability. The only entry requirement for CAT is that students must be over 16 years of age.

The Certified Accounting Technician comprises:
• exams – 9 papers
• experience – one year’s practical experience.

For those that display the potential to go further, CAT offers a route into the professional level ACCA Qualification.

Like the ACCA Qualification, CAT is designed to be flexible allowing you and your trainees to plan their studies around relevant work experience to maximise the chance of exam success.
