Examiner's guidance

The F4 examiner, has put together some useful resources to help support you whilst you are studying for the F4 exam.

The examiner's approach interview is very useful when tackling the paper for the first time, giving you a real insight into what the examiner is looking for in terms of exam performance. It covers the main themes of the paper, information on how the exam is structured, advice on exam technique, tips on how to succeed and potential pitfalls to avoid.

The examiner's analysis interview builds on the approach interview and looks at student performance in the June 2011, December 2011, June 2012 and December 2012 exam sessions, highlighting where students are performing well, where students are performing less well, and how they can improve their performance. The analysis interview is related to the examiner's reports, which are published after each exam session and are another very useful resource.

The content of each interview has been prepared and approved by the examiner, although the voices you will hear are those of actors playing the roles of an interviewer and the examiner in discussion. The voiceovers accompany a visual presentation which you can watch while you listen to the exam advice.
