Member ACCA Regulatory Board (Lay member)
Barbara was Head of Personnel at Royal Mail-North until she retired in 2004. Since then she has developed a portfolio career including Chair of the Conduct Committee of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Chair of the Fitness to Practice Panel of the General Dental Council and an Employment Tribunal Member.
She is a non–executive Director of the Student Loans Company. She was formerly a lay member of the Court of the University of Glasgow, standing down from this role at the end of September 2009. She was also a member of the Judicial Appointments Board Scotland and Board member of Scottish Enterprise, standing down from both of these organisations at the end of November 2008.
Barbara is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
