Helen is the chief executive of ACCA, a post she has held since 1 September 2008, and was awarded an OBE in June 2011 for services to accountancy.
A prominent figure in the global profession, Helen has considerable experience and knowledge of ACCA's markets worldwide, and has worked closely with IFAC (International Federation of Accountants) in an advisory capacity.
Helen has delivered a transformation programme to make ACCA Fit for the Future by delivering best-in-class global customer service with online delivery at its heart.
Helen is also a member of the Governance Committee of the International Integrated Reporting Committee (IIRC) which works to ensure that integrated reporting is embedded in organisations' DNA.
A politics graduate from Exeter University, where she was President of the students' union, Helen was Director of International Affairs at CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) prior to joining ACCA in 1996.
