Accountancy recruitment in France
Accountancy recruitment in France has emerged in the past three years as a specialised sector per se. Perhaps the most active agency in France seeking "Anglo-Saxon" trained accountants is ADDECO, which is the result of a recent merger between ADIA of Switzerland and ECCO of France, creating the largest European temporary employment concern. Some of the short-term placements made by ADDECO are transformed into permanent positions with the employing companies. Manpower has also a growing accountancy recruitment operation in France.
Michael Page Finance and Robert Half France are key players in the recruitment/head hunting sector for senior-level accountancy positions within French corporations and French affiliates of international corporations.
Job advertisements for finance positions appear each Monday in Le Figaro économie, and other job offers also appear in the financial daily Les Echos and the weekly Carrières & Emplois and the newsmagazine L'Express. The European edition of The Financial Times features many positions based in France in its Friday edition.
The French professional accountancy bodies and associations also feature job advertisements in their journals.
