A firm in Ireland wishing to undertake activities within the scope of the Irish Investment Intermediaries Act 1995 must be appropriately authorised by an Approved Professional Body (APB). ACCA is able to authorise firms through the mechanism of an investment business certificate (Ireland). Further information can be found in section 4 of the Practising Information handbook. An application form for applying for an investment business certificate (Ireland) can be downloaded from the 'Forms for practitioners' page.
Investment business certificates (Ireland) can only be issued to firms controlled by holders of ACCA practising certificates or the equivalent issued by other APBs.
