ACCA - The global body for professional accountants

This section applies to members applying for certificates valid outside the UK (including Channel Islands and Isle of Man) and Ireland.

To obtain a globally portable practising certificate members must achieve three years of supervised experience in an ACCA approved employer - practising certificate development stream. Two years of this experience must be post-membership and recorded in a Practising Certificate Training Record (PCTR).

Alternatively, members who hold a licence to practise issued by a recognised national accountancy body or regulatory authority may apply for an ACCA practising certificate by forwarding a copy of their licence to ACCA together with an abbreviated practising certificate application form. The abbreviated application form can be found in the 'Forms for Practitioners' page. Under this route, the ACCA practising certificate will be restricted to the same country in which the local licence is valid and will not be globally portable.
