From the famous red buses and black cabs to the Tube, TfL is responsible for virtually every mode of transport in the city – and its story goes back a long way, as this year marks the 150th anniversary of the world’s first underground railway service.
It takes more than 27,000 staff to keep the city moving, so we invest as much in our people as we do in London’s infrastructure. There are not many other organisations that give graduates the opportunity to see the impact their work has on the Capital.
TfL is in the midst of one of its greatest periods of investment and that means there are many exciting projects that you could contribute to. Work is well under way on Crossrail, a state-of-the-art underground line slashing journey times from east to west London. We are making the iconic Routemaster bus a ‘green hybrid machine’ and introducing low-carbon taxis. Not forgetting the new Emirates airline and the upgrade programme which is seeing the development of major stations and underground lines.
Whether you want to dig, design, plan, manage or explore corporate finance, you can expect all the personal and professional development that you need at TfL.
