Kenya (Nairobi) - Global Standards The business benefits

"Global Standards: the business benefits" - a cocktail to launch the theme which will run through ACCA Kenya member events for the remainder of 2008.

17 July 2008 from 6.00 p.m.
The Norfolk Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya

Kenya is generally an "early adopter" of international standards in many areas. In the accountancy profession, the national body, ICPAK (Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya) adopted international standards very early and both ACCA and ICPAK work hard to entrench and promote these within the profession in Kenya. This event is therefore important because we will be able to underscore the business benefits of compliance with global standards. We have two main speakers at the event - Mr. Coutts Otolo, CEO of Ernst & Young Eastern Africa and an ACCA Council member and Mr. Sammy Onyango, Partner, Deloitte and Touché and past Chair of ICPAK and past President of the regional accountancy body, ECSAFA (East, Central and Southern Africa Federation of Accountants) - who are both well known for their promotion of global standards within the profession locally.
