If you're looking for proof that the ACCA Qualification is internationally recognised, I would certainly be a good example. In six years with KPMG's London office I worked in Spain, Germany and spent a 15-month secondment at the Serious Fraud Office.  When I got the opportunity to come here to China I jumped at the chance.  From September, I'll be transferring to Washington DC to start a new two-year posting.

Since qualifying I've found the ACCA to be an excellent way of networking whether in London or Shanghai. It's an excellent peer network of all kinds of people from outside your own particular area or industry. In London, I'm on an ACCA committee which meets regularly to discuss the current issues affecting the profession and arrange speakers from around the accountancy world. I'm still involved even though I'm thousands of miles away and receive updates keeping me informed on the latest developments.

You could say that the ACCA has been one constant throughout my career regardless of location.  It says a lot that even though I'm not leaving for DC for a few months yet, I've already been contacted by the local ACCA office.
