Joint examination schemes
ACCA operates Joint Examination Schemes for CAT in co-operation with the following professional accountancy bodies.
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of Belize (ICA Belize)
- Institute of Chartered Accountants in Guyana (ICAG)
- Institute of Chartered Accountants in Jamaica (ICAJ)
- Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA)
- Certified Accounting Technicians (Singapore) Ltd
- Institute of Chartered Accountants in Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT)
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sierra Leone (ICASL)
- Lesotho Institute of Accountants (LIA)
This means that as a resident or national of any of these countries, you can gain access to the technician qualification of these local bodies as well as hold ACCA's CAT designation. You will need to register with the relevant Joint Scheme partner as well as with ACCA. Please ensure you complete a joint examination scheme Registration Form. The form, or declaration and supporting documentation should be returned to the professional body in your country.
You can apply to register online. Simply enter your details online and then print and complete the ACCA Declaration Sheet. Once for have completed the Declaration sheet, enclose all appropriate documentation (e.g. proof of qualifications) and registration fee, and return it to us. You will be allocated a unique reference number by e-mail. Please keep a note of this reference number as you can use it to track your application on the web.
Alternatively, you can complete a Joint Examination Scheme Registration Form, obtainable from your local Joint Scheme office. The form, registration fee and supporting documentation should be returned to the local Joint Scheme office in your country.
