Daniel Wong Boon Ti

Daniel Wong Boon Ti is proof that an accounting qualification doesn't mean a career in number crunching. Currently managing director of BT Solutions Pte Ltd, he regards setting up this successful information technology company in Singapore as his most significant personal achievement. Daniel applied the different disciplines he had learnt from his ACCA qualification to achieve this goal. Through completing the ACCA qualification, Daniel feels he gained a 'very practical approach to problem solving that would not have been provided by the other qualifications he investigated.'
Daniel has not always worked in IT. Prior to running BT Solutions Pte Ltd, he was vice president for Tat Lee Bank Ltd, and before that a computer audit manager at KPMG. In the future, Daniel would like to increase his IT solutions work, and is a firm believer that all organisations can benefit from the appropriate use of technology. He remarks: 'In my opinion, the profession is still lagging behind with the adoption of advanced IT technologies and I hope to see more IT used to improve the efficiency in the future.'
