Regulatory precedents

A summary of all cases heard by the Admissions and Licensing Committee (formerly Authorisation Committee and Qualification and Standards Committee) from 1 January 2003.

The cases referred to are categorised according to the type of case.

Please note that these precedents are for guidance only. The Committee is not bound to follow the decision of a previous Committee. Each case is to be decided upon its own facts.

The precedents will be updated regularly to reflect decisions of the A&L Committee, subject to expiry of the relevant appeal period. Where a decision is appealed against, that decision will not be included in the precedents until after the outcome of the Appeal Committee hearing.
