My affiliation with Horwath started in 2001 when I completed my ACCA and that’s when I started my professional journey. This qualification inculcated great values in me. Not only I gained technical knowledge but also acquired ethical thinking and values that professionals truly need to have. I learnt about Tax, Audit, Corporate Laws and various other technical aspects which helped me securing a senior place in the organisation. As far as ACCA Pakistan MNP is concerned, it is constituted through election and selection of ten members each. MNP is the body that acts in an advisory capacity to ACCA Pakistan and through this we give technical recommendations to ACCA Pakistan about the accounting profession in the country, market dynamics.  It is also a great forum representing ACCA members in Pakistan to the management team as well as the global council.

I have recently been elected as ACCA MNP committee member and proud to be the only female member on the board. Being a female and being aware of the issues and challenges that women face in the profession, I have proposed the formulation of a society named “Women in Finance” which has now been set up. The focus of this society is to mainly address the issues that are faced by women in general, whether they are professional or not. Being an ACCA myself, I can share with you that for women who cannot step outside their homes due to any reason are facilitated to study online at home and can have flexible study hours.
