Accountability Rating 2006
The results of the 2006 Accountability Rating ®, a research report carried out by csr network and AccountAbility, have been published. The study looks at the accountability of some of the world's largest companies by revenue, using any publicly available information. It analyses business' performance in six key domains: stakeholder engagement, strategy, governance, performance management, assurance and public disclosure and draws on existing reporting frameworks, including the AA1000.
The 2006 Rating was topped by Vodafone, with a score of 72%, closely followed by BP with 71% and Royal Dutch/Shell Group, with 69%. As well as this overall global study, three country specific analyses have also been carried out for South Africa , Russia and Hungary .
