Adaptation and Vulnerability to Climate Change - The Role of the Finance Sector
This is the latest report from the UNEP Finance Initiative's Climate Change Working Group (CCWG). The report calls for a new approach on behalf of governments and the private sector to address the physical changes that climate change will bring, integrating adaptation with sustainable economic development and disaster management.
The research confirms that climate change and its impacts will only get worse in the coming decades, and therefore, significant measures will be required by the public and private sectors to adapt to those impacts, particularly in the developing world.
