Vodafone wins award for Best Report at the 2006 ACCA UK Awards for Sustainability Reporting ceremony
The ACCA UK Awards for Sustainability Reporting 2006 ceremony was held on 1 March at the British Library in London.
It was an exciting event, with presentations from Justice Mervyn King, Prof Jan Bebbington, David Aeron Thomas and Peter Michaelis, all examining a particular area of sustainability and reporting. Seven companies were given an award this year, with Vodafone given the overall "Best Report" category, with Co-operative Financial Services as the runner up. There were also 4 commendations given for particular areas of reporting to Guardian Newspapers, Traidcraft, Shared Interest plc and BT and, as in previous years, the electronic media commendation, which was awarded to two companies jointly - BP plc and BT Group.
The write up of the judges' technical recommendations in the Report of the Judges and the individual presentations given at the event can be downloaded from the ACCA UK Awards section of the website along with information for the 2007 Awards process.
