ACCA Roundtable Sustainability discussion 16 April 6.30pm - 8.00pm, 29 Lincoln Inn Fields
ACCA is very aware of the growing pressure organisations are under regarding demonstrating corporate social responsibility and implementing sustainable accounting practices . Accountants play a key and active role in policy and decision making and ACCA wishes to further support members in this area. In order to do this ACCA needs an accurate understanding of what support would be useful.
The event will start with refreshments at 6pm and the discussion will begin at 6.30pm until 8pm followed by wine and canapés. ACCA's Policy Director – Roger Adams and Catherine Edwards, Head of Learning, will highlight some of ACCA's current activity
Examples of questions we would like to debate include:
- What is important for accountants in your positions to know...and why?
- Drivers and pressures in your organisations.
- How you view Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) internally
- Does an awareness of CSR issues help you in your career progression?
If you wish to attend please respond to Liz Meade liz.meade@uk.accaglobal.com by 24 March and give a brief description of your current role and any previous experience working in this area.
