UK small business committee
About the committee
The UK Small Business Committee is recognised as a significant voice on small business issues in the UK. The Committee has over 25 members including owner-managers, accountants, small business representative bodies and leading academics specialising in small firms. Their wide and varied experience of the small business sector informs ACCA's small business activities and provides the foundation for ACCA's role as the accountancy body which is closest to the small business sector.
Small business manifesto
In spring 2005, ACCA publiched the latest small business manifesto Putting small business first with an active involvement of the ACCA UK Small Business Committee, focusing on three key areas: regulaton; business support; and access to finance. Since this publication, the Committee has produced a series of detailed recommendations that can be implemented by Government and, where relevant, business support organisations, banks and accountants in order to create a dynamic environment in which small business can prosper.
