Module A

The Diploma programme has a modular design for convenience of study and to enable you to progress smoothly from basic principles to more strategic issues. Each module covers two subject areas. Module A covers:

  1. Interpretation of Financial Statements
  2. Performance Management

Each module will be assessed by one three hour exam, and one project.

Paper DA1
The exam will cover both topics - 'Interpretation of Financial Statements' and 'Performance Management'. The structure of the exam for Module A will be as follows:

  • Section A : 20 multiple choice questions of 2 marks each - 10 covering subject area 1 and 10 covering subject area 2
  • Section B : 3 written questions of 20 marks each - covering subject area 1
  • Section C : 3 written questions of 20 marks each - covering subject area 2

Candidates will be required to attempt all questions in Section A, one question from Section B, one question from Section C and one final question from either Section B or Section C.

Project DA2
Candidates are required, as part of their assessment, to submit a project for each module of the Diploma in Financial Management qualification. The Module A project will cover 'Interpretation of Financial Statements' and 'Performance Management'.
