David Staunton achieved first place in the world in the December 2001 Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance examinations. He also achieved first place worldwide in Paper D3 and joint third place worldwide in Paper D1. In addition to completing the course by home study, David attended revision classes at Leeson Park Study Course. David graduated in Chemical Engineering from University College Dublin in 1995. He has recently joined Bank of Ireland as a Continuous Improvement Manager. Prior to this, he worked as a Management Consultant with Accenture.
Aidan Fagan
Former Leeson Park Study Course student Aidan Fagan achieved third place worldwide in the December 2001 Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance examinations. Aidan works with the ESB (Electricity Supply Board) as a Combined Heat & Power Plant Manager. A graduate of Engineering from University College Galway, Aidan has also spent some time working in the US where he was a Field Service Engineer for General Electric (USA). Aidan was accompanied to the prizewinners luncheon by his wife Spain and his new baby son Charlie.
