January saw the recast of www.accaglobal.com – ACCA’s award-winning website. The popular site now includes improved and leading-edge approaches to design, navigation, and accessibility. It also premieres a modern and innovative new visual identity for ACCA, which will be further rolled out in 2007.

Extensive research has taken place with students, affiliates, members, and industry partners to enable improvements in key areas. ACCA has also worked closely with the UK’s Royal National Institute for the Blind (RNIB) to ensure accessibility is optimised. In particular, the new accaglobal.com provides:

• optimisation of content and effective navigation methods
• an improved search engine – provided by Google
• leading-edge website design – reflecting ACCA’s new visual identity
• best-practice accessibility.

The launch of the global site will be followed by a phased but swift conversion of each of the individual country sites over the coming month. But ACCA website manager, David Goff, believes the work of the webteam is far from over: ‘Listening to our students and members and obtaining feedback is going to be vital to verify that usability has improved as a result of these changes.’

If you haven’t already done so, visit ACCA’s new site today to see first hand the new look design, take advantage of the improved website service, and add www.accaglobal.com to your favourites.
