2006 theme
Since 2004, the UK Awards have also featured a reporting theme. So far, these have been stakeholder engagement, bribery and corruption, and for the 2006 awards, in partnership with FTSE Group's FTSE4Good Climate Change Advisory Committee, the theme was climate change disclosures. This Committee consists of members from Carbon Trust, EIRIS, Forum for the Future, International Investors Group on Climate Change, the Climate Group and WWF-UK.
The impact of climate change on business is undeniable and it is clearly both a strategic and competitive issue that organisations need to address. A selection of entrants' reports were reviewed (using a methodology based on the FTSE4Good climate change criteria) and the analysis is summarised in our report Climate Change: UK Corporate Reporting (see UK awards archive).
