The 2008 Awards
The 2008 ACCA UK Sustainability Reporting Awards ceremony was a great success, with presentations from Mark Wade, independent sustainability specialist; Emma Howard Boyd, director and head of socially responsible investment and governance, Jupiter Asset Management and Richard Slack, reader in accounting at Newcastle Business School. The presentations, which were focussed around the topic of integrated reporting, included the results of some ACCA funded research assessing analysts' perspectives of narrative reporting which can be downloaded from this page. The areas discussed provoked a lively debate among delegates, which ACCA will take into account when planning projects for 2009.
The winning companies for the 2008 ACCA UK Sustainability Reporting Awards were:
Best Report

Best Report

The 2008 Report of the Judges, which gives detailed information on winning companies' reports along with technical recommendations for improvements can be downloaded from this page.
For the first time, ACCA also held an afternoon 'Meet the Winners and Judges' workshop after the main ceremony, which was designed to give delegates an opportunity to ask winning companies questions on their reporting and ask judges about the Awards judging and selection process. These Q&A sessions were followed by breakout group discussions to discuss the technical recommendations.
A formal write up of this session will be available on this page shortly. For further information, please email vicky.mcallister@Accaglobal.com
