This ACCA report helps to define the role and value of CFOs in China and identify the challenges they face.

As part of a goal to define the role and value of chief financial officers (CFOs) in enterprises in China and identify the challenges they face, ACCA held a series of discussions in 2012 with well-recognised and accomplished financial professionals, chief executive officers (CEOs) and company directors. The aim of the exercise was to get an appreciation of the China-specific story, and go beyond the views of CFOs themselves and get the perspective of other stakeholders, the very people that rely on CFOs to drive business value. The results and conclusions are incorporated in this report, which aims to build on the knowledge that we hope will help finance professionals in China and elsewhere continue to grow and reach ever-higher levels of success.
