ACCA UK has announced a new integrated partnership with Practice Ignition - the innovative client engagement, proposals, and payments platform. Claire Bennison, Head of ACCA UK, and Guy Pearson, Practice Ignition CEO and Founder, signed an initial memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the London ACCA Roadshow in October 2019.
The MOU was put in place to encourage tech-led innovation amongst ACCA’s members, specifically with regards to transforming the ACCA letters of engagement templates. This 174-page-long series of templates, which is regularly maintained and updated by ACCA, can now be automatically created in minutes using Practice Ignition’s revolutionary award-winning platform.
The Practice Ignition software allows ACCA members to create professional proposals and detailed letters of engagement based on ACCA’s original templates. Payment information is included in all proposals, meaning that members can obtain clients’ signatures and direct debit details before they’re technically a customer—thereby eliminating virtually all risk of not being paid going forward.
As Glenn Collins, Head of Technical Advisory for ACCA UK, says: “Our partnership with Practice Ignition will help improve the lives of our practitioners and their clients. We know that ensuring engagement letters were created and signed by clients was painful, but also, we needed a tool to help practitioners and clients through the payment process. We know Practice Ignition will help streamline engagement letter creation, but more importantly for that payment process giving greater transparency and helping our members get paid for the work they’ve won”
On the back of this new integrated partnership, ACCA UK and Practice Ignition have also teamed up with the Digital Accountancy Show to launch the first ever Digital Accountancy Awards
“We’re 100% focused on helping ACCA members thrive in a digital age. Partnering with Practice Ignition has been a positive experience for all our members. From the ACCA roadshows last year, to collaborating again on the Accounting & Finance Virtual Summit last month. It’s been fantastic to find a partner that cares about the wellbeing and best practice of our members as much as we do. And we look forward to continuing these collaborations into the future”, says Jason Hinkle, Head of Member Engagement for ACCA UK.
Practice Ignition believe that all accountants should be free to focus on valuable activities instead of dealing with the painstaking processes of creating proposals/letters of engagement from scratch or chasing up overdue payments. This exciting partnership means that we’ve taken a massive step towards transforming the way that global accounting practices operate.
