FAQs on ethics module service issues

EPSM/FIP/RPEM service update FAQs

We'd like to alert you that some problems have emerged with the platform that supports our Ethics and Professional Skills Module (EPSM), Foundations in Professionalism module (FIP) and Russian Professional Ethics Module (RPEM).  These issues could result in disruption to your service and a risk that your progress is not recorded.

All of these platforms are still accessible and we're working to resolve this as quickly as possible. We apologise for this disruption and will update you as soon as we can.

In the meantime, if you require any further information please consult our FAQs below.

These FAQs were last updated on 17 March 2023

Can I still access my ethics module platform?

Yes, you can. However, you may experience a disrupted service and there is a risk that your progress will not be recorded.

Should I still work through my ethics module or sign up for my ethics module?

There is a potential risk that the progress you make will not be recorded in our system and you may have to repeat some work/units.

However, you may decide that starting the learning on your ethics module is more valuable for your progression. Particularly if you were thinking about taking EPSM in advance of sitting Strategic Professional exams in an upcoming exam session.

If I have fully completed my ethics module is there a risk that this may not be recorded?

No. We have a record of all existing users who have completed their ethics module and there is no risk of this being lost.

If I have already paid for my ethics module, is there a risk that I will need to pay for the module again?

No, there is no financial risk to anyone who registers, or who has already registered, for the module.

When will normal service be restored?

We have a team working on a resolution to normal service as a priority. We will update our service status messages and FAQs as soon as normal service has been restored.

What happens if the system goes down completely, or my progress is lost?

Should any of our ethics modules suffer a system failure or saved progress has been lost, we will contact all impacted users by email with information and next steps.
