Finance strategy and transformation consultant
This is a transformation and change management role requiring a good understanding and experience of both change principles and new technologies.
This may be in the context of for example migrating to a platform based business model where the company’s processes may need to fundamentally change. The Finance S&T consultant will need to understand the impact both on the finance function and on the wider organisation.
The company’s key relationships may change (eg with suppliers) and its asset base may transform from a high proportion of physical assets to primarily intangible/data assets. These require management and oversight in a different way. They will need to be able to identify, explain and implement best practices in finance to the situation at hand.
A key part of their role will require them to effectively collaborate with other parts of the organisation to identify existing operational/process improvement areas and to develop business case and financial models to support transformation / fintech adoption.
