ACCA won two awards at the annual memcom membership excellence awards ceremony in London on 20 June, which is currently celebrating its 20th year anniversary.
This event has become very popular among member bodies and recognises the innovation and creativity, which drives up standards in the membership sector, delivering increased value for its professions. It was also set up to empower the leaders of today and tomorrow. We were up against a wide range of associations, charities, professional bodies and the wider not-for-profit sector.
ACCA won in the following categories:
• Best member engagement strategy (the entry was based on the 200,000 member wall and campaign). This award is a great reflection of the 200,000 member campaign, which saw a member wall travel the world in 2018 and was great for member interaction.
• Professional body of the year (the entry was based on our qualification, our PI, our audit work, our clear strategy – the whole ACCA story!)
We also received a ‘highly commended’ for the best student engagement initiative (the entry was based on ACCA UK’s Future Talent Academy initiative). Tonia Galati, employability lead, who is part of the Future Talent Academy team, collected the awards on our behalf.
