ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Hong Kong announces its newly elected Chairman, Vice Chairman and Committee members for the term 2019/20.
Kenneth Wong was elected Chairman of ACCA Hong Kong. He is currently the leader of the Hong Kong tax controversy services practice. He has over 20 years of experience in tax consulting and is specialised in helping clients resolve complex tax controversial issues with the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department. Kenneth is also a tax partner in the International Tax and M&A Tax group advising clients on cross border tax planning and tax due diligence.
Kenneth has been serving ACCA Hong Kong Tax Sub-committee since 2010; and was elected to ACCA Hong Kong Committee as well as Tax Sub-committee as Co-chairman since 2014. ‘I am very honoured to be elected as the Chairman of ACCA Hong Kong. ACCA has been committed to shaping the future of the global accounting profession, and growing along with Hong Kong as the world’s financial centre. In the coming year, ACCA will continue our mission to help our members and students stay future-proof, and always ready to respond to global challenges,’ said Kenneth.
‘As the new term begins, I pledge to uphold the principles of service of the previous committee, and will strive to serve the industry, members and students whilst promoting ACCA’s core values. Ernest Wong, President and Group CFO of KVB Kunlun Holdings Limited, was elected ACCA Hong Kong’s Vice Chairman. Ernest has been a Committee Member of ACCA Hong Kong since 2014, in addition to his role as the Co-chairman of Professional Development Sub-committee and SME Sub-committee since 2014.
