Overview

Cryptocurrencies are a strange mix of interesting technology and good intentions, combined with huge technical problems, wild exchange rates, crime, and fund-raising scams. The way enthusiasts talk about them can be frustratingly abstract and partisan, ringing alarm bells for experienced auditors. This session will look at the underlying reality of cryptocurrencies and explain what is going on, how things could get better, and what audit issues to watch out for.
