ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and the Chamber of Auditors Kazakhstan (COA) have signed an agreement that commits to further development and support of the audit profession in the Republic.
The MOU means that the COA will provide full recognition to ACCA members, enabling them as appropriate to secure the auditor licence issued by COA.
Commenting on the MOU, Koshkimbayev Sapar, President of COA says: ‘Co-operation is an excellent way to grow and develop the audit profession here in the Republic of Kazakhstan, so I am delighted to have signed this MOU. We will build on initial projects together, looking to develop events and CPD offerings for our members.’
Lucia Real Martin, director – emerging markets also signed the MOU, and says: ‘This MOU is the first step in our ongoing joint work where we will look to collaborate on a range of projects, with the aim of supporting the audit profession in Kazakhstan. The COA’s values align closely with our own, with a commitment to ethical behaviour and audit assurance.’
