Information for ACCA members

The MSc in Professional Accountancy has also been developed to provide ACCA members with a unique opportunity to top up their ACCA Qualification with a master's degree.

As members have completed all ACCA professional exams, you need only complete one module and one project to earn an MSc degree:

  • Global Issues for the Finance Professional
  • The Strategic Financial Project

Global Issues for the Finance Professional

This module provides an understanding of the conceptual frameworks of finance and accounting that have arisen from changes in the external global environment. The emphasis is on the practical problems and the evaluation of the options available. The module provides an opportunity for reflection in the context of the workplace for those who are in work.

The Strategic Financial Project

This project covers the development of business research skills and their application to simulated real world accounting finance related problems.

Students have the opportunity to develop knowledge of research methodologies and apply these skills to the collection and analysis of data within a simulated accounting/finance-related scenario.

This will involve:

  • identifying and analysing data and information in relation to business challenges;
  • researching alternative solutions; and
  • applying a judgement based assessment of the evidence.
