ACCA congratulates The King and The Queen Consort on their coronation and their contribution to sustainability and the public good

Ahead of the coronation of The King and The Queen Consort on Saturday 6 May, ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) offers its warmest wishes for a long and successful reign.

ACCA received its Royal Charter on 25 November 1974, which continues to act as ACCA’s constitution and has provided an important foundation to ACCA’s success and development.

ACCA chief executive, Helen Brand OBE, said: ‘His Majesty has worked with many professions, including the accountancy profession, to move towards a more sustainable world. His pioneering leadership over many years has helped to encourage organisations globally to embrace sustainability, and we wholeheartedly support and share the emphasis he has placed on it.’

Joseph Owolabi, ACCA president, said: ‘We extend our warmest congratulations on the occasion of the coronation, which marks a new chapter in the history of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. As the world’s leading body for professional accountants, we thank Their Majesties for their focus on the public good.

‘We share the vision of a more sustainable future and are putting sustainability at the heart of all that we do, to help create a future that works for all.’
