Annual General Meeting (AGM)
ACCA Council hereby notifies ACCA members that ACCA's 2018 AGM will be held on 15 November 2018, in accordance with bye-law 44(a).
The deadline for submission of nominations for election to Council is 15 August 2018, in accordance with bye-law 16 and the deadline for submission of members' resolutions is also 15 August 2018, in accordance with bye-law 46.

Purpose of the AGM
The purpose of the AGM is to transact the following business:
- receiving the annual report of the Council
- receiving the annual accounts of the Association and the auditors’ report on them
- appointment of the auditor or auditors
- declaration of the result of any election for members of the Council.
In addition to ordinary business transacted, members may request special business to be raised at the meeting in accordance with bye-law 46. Any member wishing to raise such business must give notice, in writing, of such motion and be supported in writing by not fewer than a half of one per cent of the members of the Association as at 1 April 2018. The members of the Association as at 1 April 2018 numbered 208549 meaning that the number of supporting signatures required is 1043. The deadline for submission of members' resolutions is 15 August 2018.
In accordance with bye-law 46, all those submitting or supporting a resolution must be a valid ACCA member with no outstanding subscriptions or sums payable to the Association. Therefore, to enable validation, a member proposing a resolution is required to obtain and provide the full name, signature and the membership number of all supporters in writing and to append these to the resolution to be received by the Secretary no later than 15 August 2018.
Election for members of the Council
Every year ACCA holds an election for Council members. Candidates come from all parts of the world, from every sector of the profession, and represent a wide range of senior positions. What they all have in common however, is a real desire to be involved in ACCA at the most strategic level. We welcome members of all ages and backgrounds to stand for election to Council.

Voting is now open for the 2018 ACCA AGM and Council elections. You will need your unique voting security codes to vote online. These have been sent to you by email or post, depending on your communication preferences.
Online and postal voting will close on 8 November 2018 at 13:00 GMT.
